I started my journey in the Health and Wellness field in an effort to better understand my own challenges with eating, weight, and health. Along that journey, I obtained several certifications including: ACE Personal Trainer; Nia Instructor; Zumba/Zumba Gold Teacher.
I quickly realized that the physical aspect was only one component of health and wellness. I went on to become a Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner from the Nutrition Therapy Institute. Armed with strong knowledge of nutrition and the workings of the body, I felt I had what I needed to become healthy. However, I struggled applying my knowledge to my own life due to my challenges with eating. It was then I realized that information didn’t guarantee transformation.
That was when I discovered the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. I knew immediately that this was my next step in discovering what real health was. This cutting-edge training showed me how to work with people who have challenges around weight, overeating, binge eating, body image, and a number of health concerns such as digestion, fatigue, mood issues, and more. As a Certified Mind Body Eating Coach, I have been able to integrate this learning into my own life and am on my journey to healing my personal relationship with eating.
To help people have a better, happier, and healthier relationship with food and themselves.
